2018-19 Endorsements
Seal Beach Councilwoman, Ellery Deaton (Former)
"After attending all the candidate nights, and several coffees, I have listened to and questioned those who want to represent us in District 1--Surfside and Old Town. After giving this decision serious thought, it is with great pleasure that I would like to endorse you, Peter Amundson, for City Council. Here is why it is you, out of all the candidates that has stood out: it is your youthful vitality, business experience, impeccable ethics and your desire to retain our small town character that make you the most qualified for our City Council."
Orange County Professional Firefighters
"I am pleased to inform you that the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association (OCPFA) - IAFF Local 3631 is proud to endorse Peter in his candidacy for city council in the City of Seal Beach. The OCPFA works to help elect or re-elect candidates who demonstrate a true understanding of the challenges facing Firefighters and Paramedics and the rigorous nature of our profession. Candidates who earn our endorsement become trusted allies who we rely on to advocate on our behalf and who share our mutual concern for Firefighters and public safety."
Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens (Former)
The Sheriff's office believes in making Orange County a safe, healthy, and fulfilling place to live, work, and play, today and for generations to come, by providing outstanding, cost-effective regional public services. Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, as well as City Council candidate Peter Amundson, believe in keeping safety a top priority.

Surfside Board of Directors
The governing body is a Board of Directors with five members, who are elected by the shareholders (property owners) and serve a term of two years. The Surfside Board voted to endorse Peter Amundson for Seal Beach District 1 Council. Peter is involved in Surfside and the Board felt that he will represent Surfside in a manner consistent with our previous councilwoman, Ellery Deaton. Peter Amundson is a unique candidate because he understands both Old Towns and Surfsides needs.
"Peter Amundson is our best hope for the future of our Smal Town. He is amongst the residents & knows the issues well. He is the only candidate who is meeting with city staff to find solutions. His business skills & fresh ideas as a businessman can help our downtown businesses."
